A hard-fought victory in The Big Easy
Top Play
The Eagles came out of Week 3 with a hard-fought 15-12 victory over the New Orleans Saints. It was a real defensive battle, and our team showed grit throughout the entire game. The play of the game had to be Jalen Hurts’ 43-yard strike to Dallas Goedert in the second half, which set us up in the red zone and allowed us to secure crucial points late in the contest. Hurts managed the offense well, throwing for 311 yards in a tough environment.
Offensive Player of the Week
Offensively, Dallas Goedert was a standout with 170 receiving yards on 10 catches. His ability to find space and make plays after the catch was critical for us, especially with A.J. Brown still sidelined.
Defensive Player of the Week
On defense, Jalen Carter was an absolute force. He disrupted the Saints’ offense with key plays, including a tackle for loss against Alvin Kamara and batting down a crucial third-down pass from Derek Carr to force a field goal. His presence in the trenches was a game-changer for us.
It wasn’t pretty, but we’ll take the win and keep building from here.
